How much of your (Christopher Pogue) practice is dedicated to immigration cases? 100% of my law practice is dedicated exclusively to immigration law. What types of immigration cases do you (Christopher Pogue) handle, and how is your practice divided among those cases? My practice includes a broad range of immigration case types from Family based Immigration (including Marriage cases, Parent Cases, IR-1/CR-1 visas, and K-1 visas), Naturalization, and Employment based Immigration to Waivers, Appeals, and Motions before USCIS, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO). Over the course of my career I have obtained more than 2,000 Green Card for his clients, Naturalized more then 750 individuals, and won dozens complex waiver cases. I am also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and have served several terms as the AILA Immigration Attorney Liaison to the USCIS Cincinnati Field Office. Do you (Christopher Pogue) particularly focus on representing foreign nationals from a certain part of the world? I've represented clients from over 100 different countries in my career. How do you (Christopher Pogue) help clients prepare for interactions with the government? Prior to any interview we always dedicate time for a mock interview to prepare my clients for what to expect. We cover everything from best case to worst case. When permitted, I also listen in on my client's interviews to make sure they go smoothly. Can you (Christopher Pogue) help a client appeal a decision if they don't get the desired outcome? Over the course of my career I've assisted dozens of clients with complex waivers and appeals at the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and directly with USCIS and US Consulars around the world. What is your (Christopher Pogue) fee structure? I offer a set flat fee scheduled for almost all of the cases I work on. I also provide free consultations that touch on options, timing, cost, likelihood of success, etc. in general. How do you (Christopher Pogue) keep up with the frequent changes in immigration laws and policies? I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and I regularly interact with membership to stay current on the latest changes in policy and law in the world of immigration law. How do you (Christopher Pogue) make the process less stressful and confusing for clients? Staying in contact with my clients, and ensuring direct access to me for advice is my priority. Therefore my cases are handled on a clear, predictable Flat Fee schedule to avoid any surprises. I also return all calls and emails within one business day, and prepare cases for my clients to review within six business days. This way my clients are not left guess when I am going to return their call or have their immigration forms ready for them to review. What can a client do to make the process smoother and improve their chance of success? I have a simple rule with all of my clients.... Never lie to me or to an immigration official. When you tell the truth, no matter how complicated, you are giving yourself the best likelihood of success.
